Course description

This course is structured to identify and provide accommodations for fulltime special education program classrooms for 7th and 8th grade students that are learning English as a second language that may have psycho-pedagogical, psycho-emotional, and/or psycho-pathological diversities and that may comply with one or both of the following criterias: (a) specific learning problems; and/or, (b) emotional disturbances.

The course creates the conditions so that student can satisfactorily achieve the Puerto Rico Department of Education core standards for learning English as a second language. The course is divided into two units; namely: (a) Grammar1; and (b) Grammar 2.

The first unit covers the following modules; namely: (a) what is grammar; (b) the capital letter; (c) nouns; (d) pronouns; (e) adjectives; (f) determiners; and (g) verbs and tenses. The second unit covers the following modules; namely: (a) subject verb agreement; (b) adverbs; (c) prepositions; (d) conjunctions; (e) interjections; (f) sentences; and (g) punctuation.
